 Datalogic is the third largest world producer and leader in Europe for bar
code readers, data collection mobile computers, and RFID systems.
Founded in 1972 by Romano Volta, Datalogic gained entry into the market with its range of photoelectric sensor products. Near the end of the 70's,
the company sensed the enormous potential that lay within the field of bar code technology, and decided to invest in this endeavour. In less then a few years it became a leader at a European level, developing its fully
Italian company outside the confines of the country.
Over the past 30 years Datalogic has established an undisputed world leadership in Automatic
Data Capture (ADC), as a result of high quality products, unqualified flexibility, and meticulous design. Datalogic offers outstanding and innovative business solutions in numerous markets,
including retail, manufacturing, transport and logistics.
The Group has been quoted on the techSTAR segment of the Italian stock exchange since 2001 as
DAL.MI, with headquarters located in Lippo di Calderara di Reno (Bologna). Datalogic has over 1880 employees worldwide, in over 40 countries in Europe, Asia, the United States and the Pacific Rim.
